After a breakfast of tuna salad and quiche in the centre of Bergerac, we headed south toward the town of Condom. The day was overcast throughout, making for a more comfortable riding experience. We had a few stops along the way, including a hot chocolate in Eymet, a smoothie in Tonneins, after which we crossed the Garonne River, and lunch in Lazardac. The day also included a stretch on a very quiet tree-lined bike path along the Garonne Canal.

Overall, we rode 126.4 km with 690 metres of climbing. That brings our totals to just over 1300 km horizontally and almost 50,000 feet vertically, in just nine days of riding. Tomorrow we continue south to the Pyrenees. Monday is a rest day, ahead of a huge Tuesday that includes the Col du Tourmalet and Col d’Aspin.
