Still struggling a bit with my left heel. I’ll have to make sure I get it right before launching into my training for next May’s Oxfam Trailwalker 100 km event in Melbourne.

On another fundraising topic, I have many pairs of shoes sitting in my cupboard that I used during the world run.¬†Each pair is numbered and has the distance covered in those shoes marked on the soles as well. Many people have suggested that these could be useful as auction items at trivia nights and other charity functions. If anyone out there would like a pair of shoes donated for a raffle or silent auction etc. for a worthy fund raising cause, please let me know. I’m not too sure people will be willing to part with cash to acquire a pair of old running shoes, but it can be rightfully claimed that they were used to set a new world record for circumnavigating the Earth on foot. If you’d like to avail yourself of a pair, you’ll need to make arrangements to pick up the shoes. I guess it will mostly be appropriate for those living in Sydney region.
