A few weeks ago I posted some photos from my time running through Wellington NZ, during the run around the world. These photos included John Huckerby, a professional colleague of mine, and his wife Liz. We stayed with John and Liz for two nights at their home in Wellington during the run.

Very sadly, I’m really sorry to report that John passed away two days ago. He was a victim of mesothelioma, courtesy of his exposure to asbestos as a young mining engineer. John was one of those rare individuals who was extremely talented, had an enormous work ethic but, even more importantly, was a person of the highest integrity. I’ve posted a couple of photos of John and Liz again, taken from high above Wellington – a view John really enjoyed.
