This morning I ran a lap of Centennial Park in 15:48, which was 10 seconds faster than three weeks ago. Although I thought I was going a little faster than that, the reality is I felt more comfortable than I did last time, so I have to be pleased. It was a case, however, of the legs rather than the lungs being the limiting factor. I might need to do some leg strengthening exercises.
I returned to Wyoming on this day in 2012, recommencing the North American leg after a brief trip back to Australia for visa reasons. Below are some photos from that time, including a video from the following day. It was definitely a lot flatter terrain than I’d been running the previous couple of months.
