We’re currently in New Zealand at the moment, visiting Hannah, Charlie, and their new two week old baby, Matilda. Everyone is doing well and it’s great to be here.

As for running, it’s always a pleasure to do so in a different environment. I enjoyed my daily jaunt this morning around the streets of Devonport and Takapuna. It’s a very scenic area.

Today’s video and photos are from around this time in 2012, as I was making my way towards South Dakota through the north-west corner of Nebraska. The video is a bit gruesome, but instructive in terms of what I often had to contend with. The photos include some from the day before that, when the temperature plummeted for a few hours. You can see how cold I was. But, despite all that, I really enjoyed running in this region.
