I wanted to get back to a bit of faster running today, but the left thigh is still bothering me a little. So, I thought it was wiser to give it another week of slower running. Speed is the biggest cause of injury, and particularly dangerous if you already have a vulnerable muscle or tendon. It won’t hurt me to take it a bit easier for a while longer. Hopefully next week I’ll be back to normal.

This photo is from roughly six years ago in Colorado. The mountain you can see in the background is Pikes Peak, one of the highest in the Rockies. At the time I was running between Colorado Springs and Denver.
