I’ve just spent three days up at Boomerang Beach near Forster on the NSW mid-north coast, and I thoroughly enjoyed running up there. I ran on the same roads where I competed in a few Ironman Triathlons back in the late 80s and early 90s. It was a real pleasure to run in different environs for a change. Just the change itself made me feel like I was running faster and stronger.
After the Monument Valley photos in the last blog post, and the Grand Canyon before that, the scenery got a little less interesting for a a short while, prior to me hitting the Rockies in Colorado. The following photos were taken on consecutive days, around this day in 2012. You can see how both the terrain and the weather changed rapidly. From hot desert conditions, I quickly found myself in snow and at high altitude.
