Aug 16, 2017

As I mentioned last time, we’re enjoying a few easy days at the moment, ahead of recommencing cycling in earnest tomorrow in Italy.

The boys and I have had two shorter rides in recent days (Bedoin to Carpentras:  https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1915745319, and Nice Airport to Menton:  https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1919155063), and we’re now relaxing with a day in Menton on the French Riviera.

I’ve already had a swim in the Mediterranean and will be doing so again within the hour. It’s beautiful and sunny and close to 30 C, so the conditions couldn’t be better.

Here are a couple of photos. The first is of me climbing Mont Ventoux. You can see the tower at the top in the distance. I’m not in pain – I’m actually laughing. The other photo is of two of the Three Flamingoes, with Nice in the background.
