I forgot to mention in the previous post that last Sunday I reached a running milestone. As background, I commenced logging my running mileage on 14 Feb 1983. In recent years my daily average since that time has been increasing (the world run increased it quite a lot). On Sunday that average hit 12.000 km per day. I’ve now totalled 168,812 km in 14,066 days since early 1983.

This morning I could still feel the recent hamstring twinge, so kept the speed down a bit, just running 5 x 50m and 3 x 100m at a fast but not flat out pace.

Nine years ago I recommenced my world run in Memphis. However, I can’t seem to find a blog post from that day, perhaps because we were invited out by the local running club that afternoon and evening. Maybe I didn’t have time to write a blog. Anyhow, attached are some photos from that day.
