I’m looking forward to the New Year of running. I have nothing on the agenda for the rest of this year. However, I am keen on the King Island 32 km race in March. That will give me something to focus on, but it’s too far away to be specifically training for it now, especially with summer in between. But it will come around soon enough.

In the meantime, I’ll just maintain a bit of speed work here and there. Yesterday I ran a faster 4:02 kilometre as part of my overall run – not too quick, but it keeps my hand in.

Five years ago today I ran between Glenrowan and Beechworth, in the Victorian Highlands, as I neared the end of my run around the world. Here are some photos from the day. The town is Beechworth, straight out of the 1800s.
