I’m in the Blue Mountains at the moment, which is a much tougher environment in which to run. There are plenty of hills, and many of them are very steep. It’s almost as quick to walk those steep hills as to run them. And the 1,000 metre elevation creates a slight bit of oxygen debt too. Anyhow, it’s great to run in a different location.
On this day five years ago I crossed the Murray River, having scaled the Adelaide Hills range the day before. Here are a couple of photos from that day. The first is from the town of Murray Bridge, where I crossed the river, before finishing in Tailem Bend. The second photo is from somewhere along the way.
