I’m making great strides (pun intended) in my Achilles recovery. I can hardly feel it now and I’m running further and faster too. In fact, my fastest kilometre today was a 4:06. I reckon the fact I’m not increasing the intensity throughout each run in order to ‘race’ the average pace on my watch is helping a lot.
Below are some photos and videos from the world run seven years ago. I was running down the Californian coast at the time, through the towns of Monterey and Carmel and on to the Big Sur coastline. The first photo is in the main street of Carmel (of course, Carmel loved being in Carmel). There’s also a photo of Jenny being a crab in Monterey, and of two girls I ran past (Monica and Martina) on the Big Sur stretch. They were cycling from Tierra del Fuego to Alaska. Finally, there’s also a photo of me running along the Big Sur coast.
There’s also a couple of videos from the day I ran from Watsonville to Carmel. It was a great day of running. Take a look.
