On Thursday night I gave a talk about the world run to the Alumni Association of the University of Wollongong. I was pleased to receive very positive feedback. I ran into some familiar faces and met many new ones too. I really enjoyed the evening, which was made even better by the absolutely perfect weather and the venue right on the beach.

I see the podiatrist on Monday and will receive the results of the ultrasound examination. I’m very much hoping for a solution. If I don’t get back on the road in a big way soon I’ll struggle to make it to the starting line of the Oxfam 100 km Trailwalker event I’m due to participate in on May 2.

Let’s finish with a bit of nostalgia – two years ago today I ran past the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, which has seen some space shuttle action in past years. One year ago today I crossed the border from Spain into France. It only feels like a few months ago.
