My good start to the running year continues. I’ve now chalked up over 190 km in the first nine days, and at a better quality than my normal running. Being at Somers on the Mornington Peninsula helps, as it’s such a nice place to run. And being some distance from the fires is not a bad thing either.

Here are some photos from this time back in 2012, as I made my way up the east coast of the South Island of NZ. We struck amazing hospitality in the region, having been invited to stay with four different couples in four days – Heidi and Derek in Dunedin, Andrew and Cherie the next night (photo below of me running with Andrew), then James and James at their wonderful B&B, Pen-y-Bryn in Oamaru, also featured in one of these photographs. That was on this very date eight years ago. And the following night we stayed with Paul and Ann at their equally wonderful B&B near the town of Hook.
