It’ll be four weeks this weekend since the Royal Double Ultra. I think that’s enough recovery time, so I’m about due to start some more intensive training again – probably a bit of a short time trial on Monday to gauge my speed.

But, more importantly, where was I seven years ago? Illinois is where, as you will see from the photos below. It was also the time when I stumbled upon the site of the home of Abraham Lincoln in 1830, when he was a still a boy (although an older boy, and not far away from leaving home).
