As planned, I did another session of 8 x 100 metres this morning. Let’s see if it leads to an improvement in my 1 km time on Thursday. If so, it means I will have gone under 3:30, which has been my aim for the past year or more.

Today’s video is worth watching. It’s from northern Minnesota where I was running on the Heartland Trail, an old rail line converted for pedestrians and cyclists. It’s about as good as it gets for peaceful running. There are also some photos from the same time (mid June 2012), and some others from the same time the following year when I was running between Perth and Kalgoorlie. Grace is accompanying me in a couple of those photos. She travelled with us for that entire leg of the run.
