I was highly amused this morning to receive an email from Chook, who had in turn received the news from a friend in Texas. Unbeknownst to me, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not have added my world run achievement to their “believe it or not” list – not that they’re implying it’s dubious at all. And it has appeared in the comics section of the San Antonio Express.

I recall running through the town of Ripley in California, close to the Colorado River. Prompted by the name of the town, Jenny, who was part of the support crew at the time, suggested that one day Ripley’s Believe It Or Not would include my run among their oddball facts. How prophetic she was!!!
