Today’s video will give you an excellent idea of the road over the Andes between Argentina and Chile. There are numerous tunnels, three of which I ran through during the filming of video.

The photos are from the same time, around this date in 2012. They are a little out of order. The shot with the lush green trees is actually in Mendoza, capital of the world’s Malbec wine region, at the base of the Andes. The Andes in this region is quite unique. Within metres of finishing the descent of the mountain range, it becomes virtually dead flat. Crossing the Andes was one of my most favourite parts of the run around the world.
