I mentioned in the last post that I was concerned about problems ensuing from me compensating for the high hamstring tear as I ran. That was very prophetic, as two days ago I woke up with a very sore Achilles. It’s higher up the tendon than my past Achilles issues. I’m not overly concerned, but I’m going to nip it in the bud. For that reason, I’m only going to do very minimal running over the coming week. That should be enough for the injury to heal. I don’t want to push through it and find it’s still a problem in a month’s time.

This photo is an old favourite of mine, from the Garden of the Gods, near Colorado Springs. I spent an hour or so running through this park in late April 2012, during my world run.
