It was this very day seven years ago that I concluded the North American leg of my run around the world. That day I ran from Boston to Manchester-by-the-Sea, dipping my toe in the Atlantic. It’s the same town that the Academy Award Winning movie of recent years was set. I passed through Salem, Massachusetts – famous for the witch hunts of the 1600s – around lunch time that day, and there were thousands of people already out in Halloween gear (not just kids), all set for the evening.
Below is a video of me taking those last few steps in North America. There’s also another compilation video that Carmel put together of the whole crossing of the US. Turn the music up when you watch it. Also some photos of Chook and me running through Hurricane Sandy a couple of days before. As you can see, we were having fun.
