Yesterday I ran my longest single session since the Big Red Run – 28 km. I took in Bondi Beach, Rose Bay and other parts of the Eastern Suburbs, along with great views of the city from the high point at Vaucluse. Today was a shorter recovery day, but tomorrow I intend to do another time trial around Centennial Park, so stay tuned for that.
This photo shows me observing Mt Ruapehu on the North Island of NZ during my world run, at the finish of my day of running. I ended on the Desert Road that day (walking about 20 metres off the road for this photo). The peak was covered in cloud, but it was clear the next morning when I restarted from the same spot. Quite a spectacular sight.
