It was an interesting part of my world run, this time six years ago. After I left Niagara Falls I headed up to the southern shores of Lake Ontario. A day later I found myself running along a beautiful trail beside the Erie Canal. I think I did close to 50 km along the canal. You can see from the photos below what a great place it is to run, especially when there was no traffic other than some other runners, walkers, and cyclists.
It was also the day I passed the 300 marathon mark during my run. Carmel decided to take an artistic photo of my feet (see below). One of the surprising things is how well my feet held up. I didn’t have a single blister the whole time. In fact, the condition of my feet seemed to actually improve during the world run.
